The upcoming speedway season at IBRP Kingaroy Speedway will be another big one, thatโs once again headlined by the 8th Annual running of the Modified Sedan Kings Royal that will be held over the Australia Day Long weekend. The Kings Royal, now a highlight for so many people is staged for another almighty occasion and will take place between 24 to 26 January. The Kings Royal will be once again supported by the Queens Royal which has been a popular inclusion to the weekend that celebrates sedan racing, and this season the three day event will feature additional support divisions giving plenty of drivers and opportunity to take part in this epic weekend.
In addition to the Royal, the Queensland Super Sedan Title will be held a just ten days before Christmas on 14th December. This date should attract a magnificent field of drivers to the likeable showground venue who will host the state title for only the second time in its forty-seven year history. Super Sedans also return for a Queensland Series round in March.
A big season is planned for the Street Stocks with the $1,000 to win Uniform Zone Stampede being held on 14th March. Along with this blue ribbon event, Edge Automotive & Performance will present the Street Stock Super Series which will be held over five rounds, giving Street Stocks a huge season and plenty of racing in the Peanut Capital.
Along with all the normal club racing for Modified Sedans, Production Sedans, Junior Sedans, National 4โs, V8 Dirt Modifieds make a return on 16 November after a successful showing last season. Wingless Sprints return for the season opener on 19th October, while Lightning Sprints feature twice throughout the season on 14th December and 14th March. Modlites return for 4 nights, a show each in October and May with a 2 night event added alongside the opening two nights of the Modified Sedan Kings Royal weekend.
